What I like the most is that DUNE is a chance to get the band back together again. Twenty years ago, we were trying to put computing together for Run 2 of the Tevatron, and Fermilab had just hired a bunch of smart, great young people as programmers. I hate to say this, but they’re somewhat older now. Despite their ability to go off and make more money from Google, somehow DUNE has lucked into getting many of those same people. We’ve done one big project together, and now we’re doing it again. It’s very comfortable knowing the capabilities of the people you are working with and knowing they are good.
